Morris rudnick

Morris was born and raised in Aiken. He went to Aiken High School where he played varsity football. From there, he entered and graduated from the University of South Carolina where he majored in Business. After undergrad, he entered the University of South Carolina School of Law. After graduating from USC School of Law, he began practicing law at the Aiken County Public Defender’s Office.

After several years as a public defender, he opened Rudnick and Rudnick in 1984 with his mother, Irene Rudnick. He started a general practice firm that developed into primarily real estate closings and probate matters. Since the late 1980s, Morris has guided thousands of homeowners through the long and stressful process of buying a home. He learned each stage of the closing process from title search to actual closing to issuing the final title policy.

In addition to real estate, Morris has decades of experience drafting wills and handling probate matters. He’s worked diligently to learn methods to minimize the size of your estate to ensure a smooth probate administration for your loved ones after you’ve passed.

Outside of his practice, Morris has been active in the community. For years, he was a member of the Aiken Rotary Club, ran various political organizations, and was a board member of Tri-Development Center. For 25 years, he was a volunteer football and basketball coach at Aiken Junior High, New Ellenton Junior High, Schofield Middle School, and Kennedy Middle School. He coached these teams with help from his friends Roy Starks, Tom Walton, and Chris Verenes. He also coached church league basketball with his friend Ryan Bruorton. In addition, for 30 years, he represented the Aiken County School District in school attendance matters.

Throughout his adult life, he’s worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He understands the time and effort required to raise a family and the need for assistance along the way. As a result, he strives to help all of his clients during their time of need.

Charles was also born and raised in Aiken and went to Aiken High School. After graduating from the University of South Carolina, he entered the South Carolina School of Law. He was a member of the Moot Court Bar, the Order of Barristers, and a member of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. He graduated with honors and was admitted into the Order of the Wig and Robe. The Order of the Wig and Robe is limited to the top 15% of a law school class.

After law school, he went to practice with the 16th Circuit Public Defender’s Office in York, South Carolina. While in York County, he handled hundreds of criminal cases ranging from most serious felonies to traffic tickets.

After over 3 years with the 16th Circuit Public Defender’s Office, Charles moved back home and began working with the 2nd Circuit Public Defender’s Office. After Ms. Irene Rudnick passed away, he entered practice with Morris at Rudnick and Rudnick.

At Rudnick and Rudnick, Charles focuses on probate matters, residential and commercial real estate transactions. He has valuable experience in each facet of real estate closings. He’s learned the ins and outs of real estate and property law from one of the best in the business, his father, Morris Rudnick.

In additional to real estate, Charles drafts wills, trusts, and other probate documents. He represents clients in probate hearings and will contests.
