Morris rudnick

Morris was born and raised in Aiken. he went to Aiken High School where he played varsity football. From there, he went and graduated from the University of South Carolina where he majored in Business. After undergrad, he entered the University of South Carolina School of Law. After graduating from USC School of Law, he began practicing law at the Aiken County Public Defender’s Office.

After several years as a public defender, he opened Rudnick and Rudnick in 1984 with his mother, Irene Rudnick. He started a general practice firm before he turned to handling primarily real estate closings and probate matters. Since the late 1980s, Morris has guided thousands of homeowners through the long and stressful process of buying a home. He learned each stage of the closing process from title search to the actual closing.

In addition to real estate, Morris has decades of experience drafting wills and handling probate matters. He’s worked diligently to learn methods to minimize the size of your estate to ensure a smooth probate administration for your loved ones after you’ve passed.

Outside of his practice, Morris has been active in the community. For years, he was a member of the Aiken Rotary Club, ran various political organizations, and was a board member of the non-profit Improve Our Community. After he had his second child, Laura Rudnick, he stepped back from many civic organizations and worked to raise and support his family. He’s worked tirelessly to provide for his family and his experience raising a family allows him to appreciate the value good legal advice can provide your family. In short, if you’re looking for a good person and a good lawyer, Morris is your man.

Charles was also born and raised in Aiken and went to Aiken High School. After graduating fromm the University of South Carolina, he entered the South Carolina School of Law. He was a member of the Moot Court Bar, the Order of Barristers, and a member of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. He graduated with honors and was admitted into the Order of the Wig and Robe. The Order of the Wig and Robe is limited to the top 15% of a law school class.

After law school, he went to practice with the 16th Circuit Public Defender’s Office in York, South Carolina. While in York County, he handled hundreds of criminal cases ranging from most serious felonies to traffic tickets. He handled all DUI cases in Rock Hill Municipal Court for late 2015 to 2016 and obtained dismissals and reductions in numerous cases. In addition to DUI cases, he’s handled hundreds of drug cases ranging from drug possession to trafficking in drugs.

After over 3 years with the 16th Circuit Public Defender’s Office, Charles moved back home and began working with the 2nd Circuit Public Defender’s Office. At that office, he continued to handle criminal matters of all types. After Ms. Irene Rudnick passed away, he entered practice with Morris at Rudnick and Rudnick.

His passion for defending the rights of his clients continues to this day. He strongly believes that every person accused of a crime is presumed innocent. The lawyer’s duty and responsibility is to ensure the rights of his client are upheld. Charles strives to obtain the best results possible for all of his clients.
